The Lady's Mantle has a faint yellow tinge and begins blooming in June here in Northeastern Ohio. Lady's Mantle has been found in gardens since the 16th century. It was originally called "Our Lady's Mantle" because the scalloped shape of the leaves was thought to resemble the mantle (cloak) of the Virgin Mary.
